I believe that it is past time to reform our criminal justice system in Wisconsin. We need to ensure that our law enforcement and minority communities are not put in a position to fail. I will do everything I can to legalize recreational marijuana in the state of Wisconsin and pardon non-violent drug offenders to get them out of prisons and back into the economy and their families. I believe that the first big step in reforming this system is eliminating the largest cause of incarceration in the US and Wisconsin.
The most efficient way to grow an economy that works for everyone is to let business thrive without regulation and licensing. I believe that the first major steps in creating a strong economy are deregulating businesses, eliminating crony capitalism on every level and lowering the tax burden on the working class and businesses.
Nobody knows how to educate your child better than you. We need to work towards a system where parents have as much of a choice as possible in their childs education. As a recent graduate of a charter school I understand more than most that not every child learns the same and we need to do everything we can to promote a system in which charter and private schools thrive and are readily available to everyone no matter your district.
